4. LOCAL BOSS: How Does the Business Model Work?

Generating leads for small business is a booming industry… it always has been.

Here’s the deal:

When you break it down, lead generation is basically finding customers for businesses. These businesses can range anywhere from your local Plumber or Electrician to a nationwide Cosmetic Dentist or Chiropractic chain.

But how do I make money?

The way this works, in a nutshell, is that you find customers that are interested in your clients’ services, then you either collect that customer’s information and send it to the client or you have the customer contact your client directly.

Your client can either pay you on the front end, when you send them a lead… or on the backend, after they finish the job and the customer pays them.

So how much is his program?

5. THE COST: How much does Adam Davies’ Course Cost?

Well, you won’t really find anything online about how much the Local Boss Course costs to get started.

So, you’ll need to schedule call…

That being said, there’s often a little bit of negotiation on the price… That is, you can get a pretty good discount if you pay for the program in one lump some rather than in installments.

But I did some digging…

By comparing what is offered in his program to others out there, I’m guessing Local Boss would cost somewhere in the neighborhood of $6,000.

So, it’s not cheap… and it doesn’t stop there!

If your plan is to run a Digital Marketing / Lead Generation Agency, then you can expect to have ongoing monthly expenses.

Expenses such as…

An Email Autoresponder – $20 per month
Facebook Ad Campaigns – $250+ per month (now, ultimately your clients will be paying for these, but you’ll need to do some testing so you don’t go in blindly)
ClickFunnels landing page and software – $97 per month
ClickMagic Software for Tracking – $27 per month
Hosting for your own website – $10 per month

So you’re looking at around $400 in overhead!

But, once you’re in full swing, your clients will be covering this for you.

I’m not going to lie though…

If you’re new to this, there will be a steep learning curve and it’s likely you could spend quite a bit of money just getting your feet under your, so be prepared.

6. SCAM ALERT: Is Local Boss the Real Deal?

Local Boss is truly one of the more legit programs out there.

Here’s what I mean…

You won’t be able to find too many more genuine trainings when it comes to Facebook Advertising in order to generate leads for your business.

So, Yes… Local Boss is definitely Legit.

The question is…

Is Local Boss right for you?

If you’re the type of person that likes the idea of serving the business public with your expertise and knowledge on a daily basis, then the agency business model is right up your alley.

But on the other hand…

If you’re someone who doesn’t like the idea of getting paid ONLY when you fulfill a service, then there are better more effective ways.

Well, they aren’t aware until they get in that this takes work and money to hit the ground running right out of the gate.

Does this mean they shouldn’t do it?

Not necessarily.

They just need to be aware of what’s in store before they sign on the dotted line.

So, Let’s take a look at a few things…

11. CON #1: The Hidden Price of The Course

I can’t really say how much the course costs, because I can’t find anything online about it.

This can be a red flag!

But there are other programs similar to Adam’s that go for around $6k, so that might be a good indication.

Here’s the deal…

I’ve personally taken a look at these other courses, and have had phone calls with the sales people, but since I was doing so well with what I was currently doing and still do, then I decided to pass

12. CON #2: Unexpected Monthly Costs

Now, if you go by what is covered in the Local Boss program, then you SHOULD get clients and they SHOULD cover your expenses.

BUT! (and this is a big BUT)

There are going to be tools that Adam suggests you use that will cost you every month.

These tools can be a bit pricey!

For example, in one of the training modules that Adam provides, he shows you how to use ClickFunnels which will cost you $97 per month… which is separate from the email program he suggest and the cost of the Facebook Ads.

What’s worse…

If you decide to use your credit card for the program, you might be unpleasantly surprised when you get your next statement.

Bottom line:

The amount of money you’ll pay doesn’t end with the purchase of Local Boss.

13. CON #3: Aggressive Sales Tactics

As I mentioned earlier, it’s always a bad sign when sales people want to hide things from you… especially the price.

And to a degree…

I can’t blame them, because they realize that the phone call may not last more than a couple of minutes.

And this is by design:

You see, they need to keep you on the phone as long as they can to convince you of the benefits of the program (whatever they may be), so that if you decide the program isn’t for you, you’ll need to tell them NO to their face, so to speak.

Here’s Why:

For the most part, people don’t like to say NO… even if it’s something they don’t want, because saying NO makes them feel like the bad guy.

So, I would hope that these calls are designed to actually filter out those individuals who aren’t really suited for this type of business, because clearly not everyone is.

14. CON #3: Becoming Dependent on Your Clients

It goes without saying that generating leads with Facebook is a great way to quickly replace a full-time job…

But here’s kicker!

Your clients can FIRE you any time they want.

If they can’t close on a deal… Your Fired!

If their daughter wants a huge wedding… Your Fired!

Even if the money starts rolling in and they feel like they don’t need your services any longer…

You guessed it…

It takes a lot of intestinal fortitude to do this, and it can really pay off in the long run provided you have customers that stick with you in the good times and bad.

So how do you keep them?

Well, treat them like they’re the most important client in the world…

Because They Are!

What you’ll need to do is keep them notified often of the progress you’re making by way of reports, emails or even phone calls.

Unfortunately, this sounds like another job, right?

So, ideally you would want something with which you are in complete control and can decide on your own the direction your business will go.

15: Adam Davies’ Local Boss Course is Great, but Generating Leads for FREE is Better!

Here’s Why… Had I never been introduced to the Lead Generation business model, then I would most likely be singing the praises of Social Media Marketing.

That’s not all…

After a few years of doing this,

I’ve generated a steady $50,000/mo business that works for me 24/7 whether I get out of bed or not.

Whether I pay for a single Facebook ad or not.

I just couldn’t, in good faith, say that running Facebook Ads for Lead Generation is the best thing to do.

OK, then what?

At that point, you just forward those calls to a local business owner in the area so they can take care of the customer for you.

It’s a GENIUS business model!
