Hi There. I’ve been a full time online entrepreneur for a number of years now. I’ve tried my hand at all the different online biz models, incl Dropshipping, Affiliate Marketing, Amazon FBA, Digital Marketing and more.

This gives me a unique multi-layered perspective into the industry. Today we’ll have a look at Arie Scherson Dropshipping course.

That being said, you should know that although I think Dropshipping is still a viable biz option for 2021, I by no means think that it’s the best.

In fact, I think there’s a few fundamental flaws in the business model… but I’m getting ahead of myself here.

Let's have a look at Netsphere!

1. What is Netsphere?

Netsphere is an online course (& community), that shows you how to start and scale a Shopify business from the start.

Netsphere's goal is to create a results-oriented Shopify online course & community that can be completed at anytime, anywhere, by anyone. The idea is to level the playing field for small business owners worldwide….

You’ll get access to the Mastermind group of 1,000+ entrepreneurs on the same wavelength as you. Entrepreneurship can be lonely, in the Mastermind group you can get inspired, ask questions, generate ideas, join the live Q&A's & just have some fun!

If you are already a successful Shopify store owner, this community will help you go from small results to BIG scaling.

As a member, you will get access to exclusive training covering everything you need to make your Shopify store a success:

  • How to find and select winning products.
  • How to create a high converting online store
  • How to launch and scale Facebook ads for your store
  • How to make eye-catching video ads
  • How to set up systems to automate fulfillment and customer service.
Additional benefits: Templates & Access To Sourcing Agents.

The latter sections of the course include templates that you can easily input to your store. Helping you develop systems to automate your business. This is something no one talks about in the eCommerce space, yet it's the most essential information to creating a long-term business.

These include email flow templates, P&L sheets, Sourcing Agent contacts, and more.

Netsphere has 20 hours of training and 10 modules.

2. Who is Arie Scherson?

Arie Scherson is the face behind Netsphere. He’s a well-known dropshipping entrepreneur … & a pretty popular YouTuber.

Arie & biz partner Tyler have done over 7 figures in dropshipping & has over 84K YouTube subscribers.

About 2years ago, he started a dropshipping store & took it to 6 figures while documenting the entire journey in his YouTube videos. (FYI - he made his money on something as simple as fish accessories. So Arie definitely knows what he’s talking about.)

With almost 3 million views, you can bet that Arie has something worthwhile to say about dropshipping.
What I like about Arie is that he seems to be a pretty humble guy who isn’t a show-off like a lot of other dropshippers that come into money. Even without his course he does provide some pretty good value with videos on his channel.

He does however use his YouTube channel to promote his course but also has helpful videos on things like mindset hacks, how to find winning products and shares new strategies occasionally.

3. How does Dropshipping Work?

Dropshipping, in a nutshell, is a business model whereby an online store doesn’t own the inventory it sells. Instead, when a customer places an order, the store purchases that item from a third party that will then ship it directly to the buyer.

Put another way, the online store is a middleman, taking orders from customers, which it then forwards to a supplier or manufacturer to fulfill on its behalf.
On the face of it, dropshipping sounds like a no-brainer: no upfront investment and no inventory to store. In most cases, the seller never even comes into contact with the products he or she sells. But in reality, it’s more complicated than that & we’ll touch on that later.

4. Is Dropshipping Legit or a Scam?

The problem is that these days dropshipping is often used as part of an online get-rich-quick scheme. The internet is littered with videos, blogs and online tutorials from people who claim to have made thousands of dollars—often overnight—by setting up a dropshipping store.

All you need is a website and some social media advertising & you can start selling products from your online store. You don’t have to keep anything in stock, or make anything – it’s all taken care off. The manufacturer will stores & ship the actual product to your client.

You see, unlike the easily spotted fake Ray-Bans, you’ll find these ads, often on Facebook, claiming the products come from i.e.   “independent boutique”

If you click it, you’ll see a website that looks professional. There might even be a backstory with a photo for authenticity… Plus there’s an SSL certificate so it’s got to be legit, Right??

So, you decide to bite the bullet & buy the product… & then you wait. And wait. Eventually you’ll get a package on your doorstep. All excited you go to open it …only instead of coming from some Los Angeles fashion house, it came straight from China.

Disappointment sets as soon as you open the package & you realize the product doesn’t quite meet your expectations. The material might be all wrong, or the stitching might be low quality. Rather than something that looks like it came straight off the catwalk, you’ve got something that could have been fished out of a Goodwill bargain bin.

We’ve all heard the terrible stories & seen the hilarious memes… But In short: Many, if not most legitimate companies use drop shipping in some form or another & there is absolutely nothing wrong with it… But when you buy that fancy new phone for super cheap & it gets shipped from China then you know it’s dropshipping… if it’s too good to be true it usually is…

It’s not that Dropshipping in itself is a scam, it’s just that Dropshipping & the internet makes it a lot easier for scammers to scam & sell you that “high-end-quality” for “super-low” prices…

Remember, in the end you get what you pay for…

5. How much does Arie's Course Cost? Any Specials?

The cost of Netsphere is as follows:

$35 per month

$195 per year

$295 for a lifetime membership
If you have looked at the pricing for other similar courses, then you will know that this is a rather interesting way of doing things. Most courses cost way more than the lifetime membership cost here.

They will also not have monthly pricing for those who may have a stricter budget. This means that Netsphere may catch the attention of those that have limited funds to start their business up.

Pros of Netsphere:

6. Good Content

Overall, the training is pretty good. You get step by step training and case studies to teach you the ecommerce process.

7. Affordable

The price of this course is reasonable as well. Between the monthly and yearly options most people should be able to afford

8. Great Refund Policy

You can cancel your subscription at any time. Once you’ve canceled, you’ll still have access to all of Netsphere's content & groups until your paid period ends.

So basically, if you join & decide it's not for you, you’ll still have time to watch the content & use the resources until the end of that month’s subscription. That’s pretty neat

9. Active Facebook Mastermind Group

Facebook groups are very useful - if they have members. There’s no use joining an inactive one.

Arie’s Facebook group is looking promising & growing nicely.

Beginners normally find these groups the most beneficial, so be sure to join in & become part of a community.

Cons of Netsphere:

10. Limited Marketing Strategies

A wider variety of social media advertising platforms should have could have been covered.

There are so many platforms out there & it would be nice if people knew all the options out there & then pick with one works for them

11. Focuses too much on Facebook

Most courses cover Facebook Ads but you need more than that. Facebook isn't for everyone & you need all traffic covered.

With the rising costs of Facebook Ads & the ever-increasing lack of privacy policies they’re implementing this option should be used less & less.

12. Not the best Biz model for 2021

Oh so many reasons…Too many to list here - so, I'll talk about them later on.

13. Nothing Groundbreaking

This is more aimed towards Dropshipping as a whole…that said, Although I did enjoy the course & I found Arie’s informal teaching style very helpful, there’s really nothing outstanding or uniquely interesting in this course. Maybe I’ve just done way too many courses lol 😊

14. Do Aries' Students Actually Make Money?

Here are some screenshots of what Arie posted on the course website:
So yes, it seems that some of his students are getting excellent results.

15. Who's a Good Fit for Netsphere?

Netsphere is for anybody who wants to start or scale an online business, regardless of whether you have any business experience.

If you are interested in building an online store, then this is going to be a tremendous place to start.

16. What alternative is there to Arie's Netsphere?

If you’re new to Dropshipping & you wanna learn as much as you can to cover all your bases, then you should definitely go check out Nick Peroni’s Ecom Empires.

This course is fantastic in both the stellar content it provides, which incl expert guest lecturers as well as almost 22hr worth of lectures, as well as it being fantastic value for money… Because it’s free 😊

Jip, 100% free & even if it was over a $1000 I’d still recommend it it’s that good…

Another solid dropshipping course that's cheaper than Netsphere and offers more content, is The Ecom King's FREE course on YouTube.
My advice: work through BOTH before spending any money on a dropship course - it's the best way to see if the biz model will work for you & it won't cost a cent!

How Does Dropshipping Stand up to Others? Like Lead Generation?

17. Time

As I briefly mentioned before, Dropshipping claims to be a fantastic way to earn a passive income & this makes it very appealing for potential dropshippers.

I mean, who wouldn’t want to get a few extra bucks at the end of the month for doing a little side hustle. Especially after the year we’ve just had.

I’m all for diversifying your income stream

However, when the side hustle takes up just as much time as a normal 9-5 job then I start seeing some serious red flags being raised.

Don’t get me wrong, I think there’s definitely still money to be make in Dropshipping – just not as much as there use to be a few years back.

It’s a misconception when the term “passive income” is thrown around in this fast & lose way… Dropshipping is not & won’t ever provide you with a “passive” income.

There’re countless hours of devotion needed just to get your store up & running… Now you need to find products, create ads, test ads, scale ads, more ads, marketing etc.… & you haven’t even sold a product yet…

Once that happens, you’re in for an even bigger surprise. Now you need to deal with the supplier & shipment delays, or stock issues… & then comes the customer queries about the delayed shipping or the crappy product which isn’t exactly as advertised so refunds & returns start coming in…

Oh & in between all of this, your product’s shelve life has expired so you need to find a new product & restart the entire process again… & again & you guest it… again… but only after you’ve retargeted those lost clients via email & tried to lure them back to your old product, maybe while you at it you can send an email to everyone telling them about the new product you’re about to launch…

You see where I’m going here? It’s a never-ending cycle with crazy dropshipping hours at the center of it all.

That’s why for me, Local Lead Generation is far better.

I prefer to maximize my precious time on this earth & having quality free time to do what I want, where I want.

Time is the rarest of all commodities & yet we throw it away so carelessly.

With Local Lead Gen I get to visit my family in Japan for a whole month, knowing that all my websites run themselves. It only requires a few hours of maintenance, every couple of months in order for me to keep my rankings high.

Don’t throw away you’re TIME by trading one life sucking job for another.

18. Need

The second issue, is the conceptual base the biz model run off…

You’re basically selling people cheap crap, which they don’t really need, at inflated prices.

& this is why dropshipping will always have that stigma attached to it of being a scummy business – Because you’re not filling any need or providing any value to your customer's life.

In fact, just the opposite – most client’s will, at some point, be left with a horrible after taste in their mouths thanks to a Dropshipping experience. You might think that’s a bit extreme but think about it, they’re being lied to, manipulated, spied on, screwed over on quality & price, wait ridiculously long for delivery, often having terrible customer service if any… Does this sit well with you?

With Local Lead Gen you’re actually helping small business owners in your community grow. You provide them with the crucial part to any business – clients.

By watching local businesses grow & expand your helping sustain your community.

That’s such a fantastic feeling to know that you’re a part of creating legacies & growing families. It’s really good to know that I’m adding a positive contribution to society while helping small local businesses.

CONCLUSION

I thoroughly enjoyed the content in the inner circle and Arie does seem to know what he’s talking about. He’s not showy. He’s not a celeb. He doesn’t have a crazy, over the top sales page. This is all business, and that’s what I like about it.

It’s an affordable course for those looking for a decent introduction into the Shopify and Dropshipping world - without breaking the bank.

While Netsphere does have a few limitations, I can see people making money from it as Aries information & layout is of good value.

I do recommend that you at least check out Netsphere, even if it’s by only picking up a membership for a month. It will be well worth it… & You might even discover it’s the right course for you, who knows?

PARTING THOUGHTS ON DROPSHIPPING

19. Arie's Course works, but Generating Leads is Better, Here's Why:

No technical background needed:

It takes time to implement, but the process is simple once you know what to do. Once you rank, you earn money in your sleep! There's little to no maintenance on your sites.

No Sales Skills Required:

You don't have to pitch and hope to sign a client. Lead gen allows you to offer FREE LEADS to a business owner before you even meet him. Give him quality leads and he will BEG YOU for your business.

Lead Gen Is a Recession Proof Business Model.

Businesses will ALWAYS need leads to survive. You're not selling something that depends on trends or fads. Leads are evergreen.

True Side Hustle:

You can truly do this as a side-hustle/part-time extra income. Dropshipping requires more time, especially when you do your own marketing. Lead gen only requires 5 to 10 hours to get you up and running.

FREEDOM!

You get to work from home or wherever you want. You are your own boss and decide when you want to work. You get to kill your JOB!
MARKET SATURATION

Literally anyone can get into dropshipping with hardly any effort or upfront cash. Regardless of what you're selling, you'll likely be competing with millions of other sellers in an extremely saturated market.

LOW BARRIER OF ENTRY & PLAGARISM

Plagiarism is rampant in dropshipping. It's far too easy for your competitors to copy your ads, your sales funnels, and even your Shopify store. Be assured that if you find a successful product, you will be copied and then undercut by your competition.

HIGH RISK

Advertisements have no guarantee of being profitable - and one should expect to occasionally have campaigns that fall short of expectations (which can cost thousands of dollars).

LOW PROFIT MARGINS

Facebook's ad prices have doubled this last year. Successful dropshippers can expect to profit roughly 8-15%, which only really works if you're selling major volumes of product.

NO LONG-TERM ASSETS

The key to long term wealth is in building and owning valuable assets, but with dropshipping, you own nothing. You're an enslaved middleman to Shopify, Facebook, and Google. Their ad and metrics systems are unreliable and ever changing - and account deactivations are a way of life in eCommerce.

HIGH MAINTENANCE

Ads must be developed and then monitored - and failing to do so could mean unprofitable ads or, even worse, ad account suspension.

RELIANT ON TRENDS

Trending items are most often the only products that have a profitable ROI. Many businesses meet their ends on the fall of whatever trend they were capitalizing on.

CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS

Shipping from China takes six weeks, so expect lots of customer complaints and chargebacks (which are deducted from your bank account).
